BundleSuite is packed with flexible features to help you sell smarter on Shopify. Whether you want to offer mix-and-match bundles, drive more upsells, or simplify promotions, this app gives you the tools to do it — all without needing a developer.

If you’re new to BundleSuite — or to product bundling in general — don’t worry. You don’t need to be a tech expert to use our features.

This page will walk you through the key things you can do with BundleSuite, in simple, real-life terms. Think of it like a menu of what’s possible, so you can pick the tools that work best for your store.

1. Build Your Own Bundle(BYOB)

What it is:

This lets your customers mix and match items to create their own custom bundle. You set the limits — like “Pick any 5 items” — and they choose from a collection of products.

Why it's useful:

It gives customers freedom to choose exactly what they want, which increases satisfaction and encourages larger orders.

Real-life example:

A coffee brand allows customers to “Build Your Own Coffee Box” by picking 2 different flavours from a list of 5.

BYOB comes in three styles:

1. Build-A-Box BYOB

What it is:

This lets your customers mix and match items to create their own custom bundle. You set the limits — like “Pick any 5 items” — and they choose from a collection of products.

You can also create fixed boxes, where pricing is based on the number of items selected.

For example:

  • Box of 2 for $50

  • Box of 3 for $75

  • Box of 5 for $120

Customers can select any products, but the price is fixed based on how many they pick — perfect for curated offers.

Why it's useful:

It gives customers freedom to choose exactly what they want, while you control pricing, box sizes — increasing satisfaction and average order value.

2. Multi-Step BYOB

What it is:

This is a step-by-step version of BYOB, where customers go through multiple stages to build their bundle — like Step 1: Choose a base, Step 2: Add extras, Step 3: Pick a bonus. It provides Previous and Next buttons to let users easily navigate between stages.

Why it's useful:

It’s ideal when you want to guide users through a more structured, linear bundle-building experience — perfect for curated kits, subscriptions, or personalized flows that require a clear sequence.

Real-life example:

A protein shake brand uses a multistep bundle:

  • Step 1: Choose 2 protein bases

  • Step 2: Add 3 boosters

  • Step 3: Pick your free shaker bottle

2. Standard Combo Bundle

What it is:

A simple, fixed bundle — you group specific products together into one ready-to-buy offer. These bundles are created using Shopify’s native variant system, so they appear just like any other product on your storefront.

They are displayed in a block format on the bundle page, making them visually appealing and easy to browse.

Why it's useful:

It’s perfect for promoting product kits or selling commonly bought-together items with a discount — like "Face Wash + Moisturizer" or "T-Shirt + Cap."

⚠️ Note:

Standard Combo Bundles in BundleSuite follow Shopify’s native product limits, which means they are subject to 3 options per product and a maximum of 100 variants.

Real-life example:

A skincare store creates a “Starter Glow Kit” with a cleanser, toner, and SPF — sold as a single bundle for 15% less than buying them separately.

3. Advanced Bundle

What it is:

This is a highly customizable bundle where you control the layout and how each item is displayed. It works independently of Shopify’s native product structure, giving you more design flexibility and freedom in presentation.

You can showcase multiple products together in a single view, highlight savings, and design the bundle layout to match your brand.

Why it's useful:

Use this when you need more flexibility and control over the bundle experience — ideal for complex configurations, curated kits, or high-ticket bundles with multiple customization options.

✅ Bonus:

Advanced Combo Bundles bypass Shopify’s native limits, so you're not restricted by the 3-option or 100-variant cap.

Real-life example:

A home décor store creates a “Living Room Makeover Bundle” where the customer must choose 1 sofa, 2 cushions, 1 lamp, and 1 coffee table — all within a custom layout.

4. Volume Discount

What it is:

This lets you offer discounts based on quantity — like “Buy 3, get 10% off” or “Buy 5, get 20% off.” It helps increase average order value by rewarding customers who purchase more.

The discount card appears directly on the product page, making the offer visible and enticing at the point of decision — helping boost conversions and encouraging larger purchases.

Why it's useful:

It’s great for boosting sales of refillable or everyday-use items, running promotional offers, and clearing inventory.

Volume Discount includes 3 sub-types:

1. Bulk Discount

Offer tiered discounts based on how many units a customer buys — e.g.,

“Buy 2 Pair get 5% off,”

“Buy 4 Pair, get 15% off.”

Perfect for motivating customers to stock up or buy in larger quantities.

2. BOGO (Buy One Get One)

Run “Buy X, Get Y” type deals like:

Buy 1, Get 1 Free

Buy 2, Get 1 at 50% Off

Great for driving urgency, introducing new products, or increasing units per order.

3. Flash Sale

Create simple quantity-based discounts applied to specific products or collections.

  • Example: “Buy any 3 items and get 30% off.”

  • Great for product promotions, collection highlights, or curated offers.
